The Mission Room
Almost universally referred to as the "Tin Hut" but properly known as "The Mission Room", this turn of the century building is a prefabricated timber framed and steel clad structure. This was very much a Victorian development and has been used over the years for a variety of purposes. It served as an overflow infant school in the early 1950's and one weekly use from the 1970's was for the !st Nether Whitacre Cub and Scout groups as well as Guides and Brownies. It has always been a polling station and is hired for parties and other functions.
The building was completed as a reaction to the building of the new Methodist Chapel and remains the property of St Giles Church.
